Kolkata As I Know It

Kolkata is capital of West Bengal, a state in the eastern fringe of India. If you are wondering why then the name of West Bengal, then because its Bengal on the western fringe of Bangladesh. Originally Bangladesh and West Bengal were together before the partition in 1947. Now West Bengal, the fourth most populous state, encompasses the Gangetic plain south of the Himalayan fringe. Kolkata is located on bank of Hooghly river, on the east side.

The Streets the Gully that’s where You can only discover her true spirit and glory. Take a walk take a stroll. Don’t run don’t expect to be surprised. Because she never wants you to be surprised. She will only enthrall you, grope you ,entice you in its true color. By the time you are finished and wonder what there were you will discover you are yourself laid back dreamy and content. The true character and color of our living city. That’s where the true joy lies to be. “City of joy” as It’s called by so many of her souls(us)
